Sandblasting Goulburn

Also known as abrasive blasting, the process is simply an abrasive media (like sand – a special type of sand!) being forced on a surface at high pressure removing any unwanted exterior surface like paints, rust or contaminant in preparation for re-coating.

Sand blasting is an important part of the process ensuring the job is clean and the surface preparation is adequate for the coating process to adhere perfectly. When done correctly, the process leaves the steel surface etched so that the Zinc protective coat (Zinc is the first coat of our powder coating process. The Zinc coating offers another barrier to corrosion underneath the powder coat) and the Powder Coat have the ability to adhere to the “pores” of the steel surface.
